About the event

The I International Meeting of New Researchers in Police and Crime History aims to bring together postgraduate researchers (Master's and PhD students) who want to share the total or partial results of their scientific research with the academic community, in addition to promoting the formation of communication and cooperation networks in the field of the Social History of Crime and Police.

The Meeting is organized by the CINCRA Project (International Collaborations: Criminality and Police Cooperation in the Ibero-American Atlantic, c. 1870-1940) and will focus on studies that promote original analises of the contemporary police and criminal universes. Thus, the time frame of the communication's content must be between the beginning of the 18th century and the end of the 20th century. There will be no form of spatial frame for the topics addressed in the communication proposals.

Seeking to encourage the interdisciplinary character of the event, it will be accepted communication proposals from any area of academic-scientific knowledge that seeks to promote an original and pertinent debate to the proposed theme, respecting the parameters explained here.

The event will take place on November 22, 23 and 24, 2023, exclusively on a virtual basis. Entries for the communication are scheduled to open on August 14, 2023 and close on September 15, 2023. Registrations will only be made on the website, upon correct completion of the enrollment form. The opening of registrations for listeners will be communicated in due course on the Instagram (@cincra_projeto) and Twitter/X (@cincra_projeto) pages, as well as on the CINCRA Project's official website.

Due to the international character of the Meeting, communication proposals in Portuguese, Spanish or English will be accepted. All proposals must accompany an English version of the title of their communication, regardless of the language used in the presentation. In case of any doubts, contact should be made through the e-mail address cincra.projeto@gmail.com or through the communication tool available on the official website.
