Professor Maria João Vaz
Associate Professor at ISCTE-IUL and researcher at CIES-Iscte. He specializes in the areas of Contemporary Social History, Crime and Police History. Received 6 prizes and/or honors, namely the Alberto Sampaio History Prize and two Pedagogical Merit Awards.

Responsible Co-Investigator
Professor Doctor Gonçalo Gonçalves
Professor at UNIRIO, he specializes in the area of Transnational History, focusing on Police Systems, Portugal and Europe, Police and Colonialism and Public Security. He was a visiting researcher at Yale University, in the United States of America, with a Fulbright fellowship.

Doctor Emmanuel Berger
Researcher at FCT and Integrated Researcher at CIES-Iscte. He led several projects in the areas of Legal, Cultural and Social History in Modern Europe. He founded a research network that organizes an international conference every three years within the scope of the History of Popular Justice.

Professor Doctor Diego Galeano
Adjunct Professor at the Department of History at PUC-Rio. He specializes in the area of Contemporary History of the Ibero-American Atlantic world, especially in the Connected History of South American cities in the 19th and 20th centuries. He is currently Coordinator of the CAPES-Print Institutional Internationalization Project: Global history: debates and trends. historiographical.

Doctor Fabio Faria
PhD in Modern and Contemporary History - Defense and International Relations from ISCTE-IUL (2021), he received the Mario Soares Prize with his thesis «Spanish refugees in Portugal: between police repression and popular solidarity (1936-1939)», as well as as an honorable mention within the scope of the Victor de Sá Prize for Contemporary History.
